Coffee with Denver Wedding Photographer Jason G

Last friday I met up with Denver Wedding Photographer Jason G.  Jason is a terrific guy and a great photographer. We’ve met up several time in the past  3 or 4 months to talk about th Photography business.

This time I got a speeding ticket on my motorcycle while going to meet up with him.  I have to go to court because it was a 80 in a 55 ouch. Jason was cool enough to wait for me and we still had a good chat.

If you want to see what Jason is up to check out his blog.

Cedric & Kristen’s Wedding, Colorado Springs

A couple weeks ago I got to second shoot for Denver Wedding Photographer Diana Lewlowicz. We drove down to “The Springs” to shoot Cedric & Kristen. These two young kids were full of fun and spunk as they tied the knot.

I drove around with the soon-to-be groom and groomsmen in this late 70’s Chevy Nova SS. (It was all hotrodded out). Diana & I knew we had to get pics with the bride and groom by this thing. So later in the day right about sunset we kidnapped them both to go get these awesome photos.

Jon & Kerstin’s Wedding

Several weeks ago I got the chance to second shoot a wedding for my friend MB. She normally shoots children so this was a big change and she brought  Efrain and Me along to make sure we captured everything. What a beautiful couple these two make. We had a great time capturing this event and the rain danced around us either while everyone was indoors or under the massive tent.

It definitely was a great time and I learned a whole lot. Jon & Kerstin were even cool enough to step away from the dancing and try some cool long exposure light painting.

Lunch w/ Denver Wedding Photographer Andrew Clark

Last week I got the awesome chance to have lunch with one of Denver’s premiere wedding photographer Andrew Clark. Back in Late January I took Andrews workshop through Illuminate Workshops. I learned quite a bit from Andrew then, now six months later having lunch was a great refresher.

It’s crazy how much you forget over time. We talked about several aspects of wedding photography including pricing, marketing, journalistic coverage and keeping the “beauty” in the shots. It truelly is great to meet up with someone that has successfully made it in the business.

Since it’s good to have goals here’s my “New Years Business Resolution”. I plan on doing this lunch meeting every month with a different photographer then write up what I learned from these established individuals.
